Lil Boosie
Lil Boosie an up and coming rapper, who hit it big time in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana is steadily conquering the country as his popularity spreads
from state to state. Lil Boosie was born Torrence Hatch in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana on the 14th of November, 1983. Raised on West Garfield Street
in the rough and mean ghetto of the south side of Baton Rouge, he was
nicknamed Boosie by his family. By age ten, Boosie was writing and
rapping, developing his skills, and by age fourteen he was achieving
local recognition. He started in the business with C-Loc and the
Concentration Camp who put him into the game. C-Loc faded from the
picture when trouble came along and Lil Boosie made the leap to Trill,
becoming their first solo artist with his debut album, "For My Thugs."
He soon teamed up with fellow solo artist, Webbie (Webster, born
September 6th, 1985, also in Baton Rouge.)
Together, Lil Boosie and Webbie, make a dynamic team because of their
distinctly different personalities, fused to determination and talent.
As solo artists, they have separate futures, but sometimes teamwork
can launch an even greater rocket. Watch for them both to make it
bigtime. According to Lil Boosie, "I'm laid-back, big dawg status.
Webbie is wild." Behind the microphone, their art is molded into a
single unit, until it's hard to distinguish who's rappin. Both are big
time in Baton Rouge, the city completely behind the young men, rooting
them on to continue their march across the country and into the gangsta
strongholds of New York and Los Angeles.
