Tha Crossroads.mid - Bonethugs
Bone Thugs N Harmony
The Bonethugs consisted of Bryon McCane (Bizzy Bone), born September 12,
1976, Columbus, Ohio, Anthony Henderson (Krayzie Bone), born June 3 or
17, 1973 in Cleveland, Charles Scruggs (Wish Bone) born in Cleveland on
February 17 or 21, 1975 or 1974, Steve Howse (Layzie Bone), born in
Cleveland on September 23, 1974, and Stan Howse (Flesh-N-Bone), brother
of Steve, (Flesh-N-Bone), born in Cleveland.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony emerged from Ohio in the middle 1990's, scoring
with gigantic hits. They initially included Flesh-N-Bone, releasing
their 1994 debut EP, "Creepin on ah
Come Up." "Thuggish Ruggish Bone," was a summer rap hit that led to their debut album, "East 1999 Eternal"
in 1995 that generated hit
singles, "Tha Crossroads," (Grammy award),
and "1st of the Month." Individual members then pursued solo careers,
including both musical and acting, but music was diluted and ultimately
declined. They continued to produce albums, including The Art of War in
1998, The Collection Vol. One (1998), BTNH Resurrection (2000), The
Collection Vol. Two (2000), and Thug World Order in 2002. An on-again
off-again group, they attempted a reunion in 2003, but without the
entire original founding members, they could not turn back the clock.
Individually, they released seven solo albums from 1994 to 2003. It is
their early but brief efforts that created landmarks in the evolution of
the art and poetry of the genre.
